Well done to all of our first year students who recently participated in the 2026 IMTA First Year Competition. There were over 18,500 entries from 280 schools across the country. 53 students achieved 100% and were awarded an IMTA engraved trophy. A further 212 students achieved 95% and were awarded an IMTA medal. 

Congratulations to Pádraig, Daniel, Christopher, Elise, Daniel and Rocco with their Certificates of Outstanding Achievement. These certificates were awarded to the students who scored over 90%, or were the top of their class. Special mention for Pádraig who scored 95%, thus winning an IMTA medal. We wish them all the best of luck in their mathematical endeavours in Midleton College.
