Health & Wellbeing Week

Health & Wellbeing Week

Our annual health and well-being week is in full swing this week with lots of activities. Yesterday, we held our internal athletics championships with over 160 students participating in events. Results to follow later this week. Today we welcomed back former past pupil Eoghan Smyth who spoke to Form 3 and Senior cycle students about his experience in the Irish u20s Rugby squad this year. He also gave valuable insight into his training schedule, strength and conditioning and nutrition and recovery.
Throughout the week PE class groups are competing to get the fastest time through our obstacle course, incorporating team work and communication. Much more planned for the remainder of the week to include a teacher v staff hockey game on Friday in aid of Jigsaw Cork and a talk with performance analyst Len Browne.
