Ballymaloe Trip

Ballymaloe Trip

On Thursday, 8th October, our Form 5 and 6 Home Economics students enjoyed a fantastic educational trip to Ballymaloe Cookery School.

During their visit, the students learned all about foraging, where our food comes from, and the many benefits of growing and eating organic fruit and vegetables. They had the opportunity to explore the amazing new greenhouse, discover a wide variety of fresh produce, and even sample lots of delicious vegetables along the way.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to deepen their understanding of sustainable food practices, appreciate the importance of locally grown produce, and learn more about the journey from farm to fork.

A huge thank you to the Allen family for their warm welcome and for taking the time to give us such an interesting and informative tour. We really appreciate the opportunity to visit and learn from your expertise. It was a fantastic day, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. (more pics on website)
