The Senior A girls hockey squad travelled to Limerick today to play Villiers in the league. It was a very even contest, with both teams giving as good as they got. In the end, a 1-1 draw was the outcome and a fair result; Rachel Sweetnam with the goal for us. 

 

As is the case with the league this year, all drawn games must be followed by shuttles to split teams if they tie on points at the end of the league campaign and it also gives the victors an extra point in the league as well. The girls managed to win out 4-3 in shuttles, with Rachel Sweetnam (2), Rachel Roche and captain Ava Huggard scoring in the shootout and Maebh Deavy saving 3 of the 6 Villiers shuttles! Well done to Ava and the squad! Next up is Scoil Mhuire in the league on Thursday 23rd of October at 1:30pm at home. 😃👍🏑
