Last Monday, a guest speaker from Water Safety Ireland visited the Outdoor Education TY class. The students learned about common water hazards and rescue skills. This is part of their 8 week block specialising in Lifeguarding and Water Safety – the students are preparing for their ‘Safety 2’ exam taking place at the end of the month.  Students will receive a certificate accredited with Water Safety Ireland which contributes towards their Gaisce bronze award.
