We were thrilled with the fantastic response to our Midleton College Feis held last Thursday, which showcased an impressive standard of musical talent across all year groups. The Music Department extends sincere congratulations to every student who participated, and we were especially delighted to welcome back Bandon Grammar School, fostering a wonderful spirit of shared musical appreciation. Our thanks go to our distinguished adjudicators and to Dr Sexton, Ms Paula Garvey and Mr Fenny, for their expertise and support in ensuring the smooth running of the event. From Form 1 to Form 6, all Midleton College students should be proud of their achievements and how they represented our school. In addition, thank you to Eimear in the office, Ms Lynch, Mr. Feeny and their team of Allegra Sexton, Jack Mc Donald, Gemma-Louise Daly, Ciara Ryan-D’Ardis, Beth Southgate and Mili Setterfield.
Finally, this year’s recipient of The Midleton College Perpetual Cup, awarded to the highest place senior solo performer, is Form 6 student Abbie O’ Brien. Abbie placed first in the senior classical singing competition and the senior popular/musical theatre singing competition, for which she earned a grade of 98%, a new competition record. An outstanding success – we wish you the best of luck pursuing your musical studies next year.
