We are incredibly proud of the five students who recently represented Midleton College in the national round of the German Olympiad: Benjamin Flynn (TY), Beppe DeMicoli (Form 3), Honey Hyde-Twohig, Brian Lynch and Luke Nolan (Form 2). They not only demonstrated outstanding German listening and reading comprehension skills in a series of online tests, but also shone in the challenging group task, where they showcased their excellent language ability, teamwork, creativity and a truly positive, can-do attitude.
A very special congratulations goes to Brian in Form 2, who achieved an outstanding second place, finishing closely behind a Fifth-Year student from Tullamore College. This is an exceptional accomplishment, particularly as Brian only began learning German a year and a half ago.
We couldn’t be prouder of them all. Well done!
