Midleton College PTA is excited to announce the hosting of Harvest Festival this Friday (9th Oct. at 3.30) in the College Dining Hall. The event will see students compete for prizes in the following categories ... prizes will be at 3.45!:
- Baking
- Literary - short story, poem.
- Photography
Prizes will be awarded separately to students in the junior and senior cycles.
We are inviting all parents/gaurdians to join us in the dining hall for a cup of tea/coffee and some home baked treats. This is a social event, and we are encouraging parents to come and meet old and new parents, and get involved in the life of the college family. I look forward to seeing many of the first year families in particular being new to the College myself.
There will be a raffle - a "Monica Ottman cake" (thank you Monica) and a "Luxury Food/Treat Hamper" - with donations going towards the PTA funds.
Please feel free to bring along some home baking (cupcakes, cakes etc) to donate to the tea party!

Dear Parents,
The PTA AGM is scheduled for Tuesday 22nd September at 7pm in the college Assembly Hall. Please see the attached explanation of the process and request for nominations for new committee members.
Our speaker this year is Mahayana Dugast, who will be speaking on RESILIENCE TRAINING for you and your children.
Mahayana I. Dugast, Ph.D., author, who was born in Chamonix, France. She has practised mindfulness, natural healing and many self-development methods for the past 30 years. She trained with many leaders (Dip. Tony Robbins Institute), and specializes in Mindful Leadership and Breakthrough / Resilience Training for Individual and Corporate / Academic Success. Mahayana has been living in Ireland for the past 20 years, and has shared her work in China, USA, Hawaii, Germany, France, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Her unique method “Connecting the DOTS™” reflects the fundamental essence of integrated daily, practical, self-awareness, and tools and processes to transform our mindset, and access the resources and resilience that are already within you. She is the mother the three, and grand-mother of one.
We look forward to welcoming you to the PTA AGM, and would like to encourage all parents/guardians to attend.
