NPCpp – Working towards a better education system for all

Dear Parent Associations, Parents and Guardians,

The National Parents Council Post primary are delighted to announce that the Minister for Education and Skills Mr Ruairí Quinn T.D has announced that he has increased the funding of €40,000 to €60,000 for the new Anti-Bullying Programme for parents of primary and post primary children which are currently taking place nationwide. As a result, the number of training nights scheduled between now and December will increase from 70 to 115. The programme is a joint initiative of the National Parents Council post primary (NPCpp) and the National Parents Council primary (NPC). If you would like to participate please click HERE to register.

If the dates or venues arranged for the Anti-Bullying sessions being held in October and November 2013 aren't suitable for your parent association/school you can also book an Anti-Bullying Training session for your individual parent association/school. Alternatively, your school might like to co-host with other schools close to you. To book a training session please click HERE to download the application form.

Once we have received your application you will be contacted to arrange the details. The training will be delivered in both primary and post primary schools.

The session will enable you to support your child regarding issues of bullying and will also inform you about the new Anti-Bullying Procedures for Primary and Post Primary Schools.

Each session runs for two hours and is provided free of charge.

Please note these sessions have been developed specifically for a parent audience and they are therefore not suitable for children.

A list of new venues will be issued shortly.

Please note: all sessions in Education Centres will commence at 7pm all other sessions at 7.30pm
