Wonderful day for the girls senior soccer team with an impressive 3 - 1 win after extra time in the All Ireland Semi Final.

The girls were very unlucky to concede an early first half goal but recovered well to dominate the rest of the half. Hanna Roch Perks scored a superb equaliser just before the half time whistle after a crunching tackle was won by Isabel Barry in the middle of the park. The second half was a tight affair with both teams going close to scoring a winner on multiple occasions. Rachel Barry displayed her goalkeeping credentials making several great stops in goals to ensure the game went to extra time.

Following the brief interval, Midleton got their second wind with the introduction of Naoise Hogan and Aisling Curtain bringing some additional energy and intensity to the team. Some great work in midfield from Rachel O Sullivan saw Midleton recover the ball in the first half of extra time and a exquisite pass sent Aoife Mitchell through on goal to put the girls ahead with a clinical finish. Hanna Roch Perks soon scored her second and Midleton's third moments later to put the game beyond doubt.

A fantastic performance from all the players who were well deserving of their win and can now look forward to their final on the 29th of January. A big thank you to coaches Mr. Brown, Mr. O'Neill and Mr. Whyte for their work with the girls during the year.
