Best of luck to our Junk Kouture teams this year who are awaiting news if they will progress to the Regional Finals of the competition.
Our six teams made some fantastic designs which utilised a wide range of materials that were otherwise destined for the bin.
-Éabha and Éabhla used a shower curtain, a hoola-hoop and an old bag to make their pirate inspired piece.
-Ava, Sadhbh and Laia raided the attic and sourced some old dolls for their design.
-Mia, Zoe and Emma utilised a bag of unwanted zips (kindly donated by Dr Gash) to create a cape suitable for a festival.
-Caoimhe and Leah emptied the office's bins of their shredded paper and sewed it into a spectacular gown.
-Lauren and Chloe used some dusty artificial flowers and gave them a new lease of life.
-Whilst Sarah, Reidín and Sophie recycled scraps of material and cardboard from the Art room to create their camp Kouture!
Fingers crossed as we await the results on Thursday 27th June.
