Midleton College Open Day 2014
Midleton College will hold its annual Open Day on Saturday 13th September. This is an opportunity for interested families to visit the College and meet with pupils and members of staff, wander around the campus and get a taste of College life.
A primary concern for any parent in the planning for their child's education is what academic opportunities the school can provide in both Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle. Midleton College offers a range of 18 subjects for study in Junior Cycle including 3 modern languages - French, German, Spanish in addition to Irish, English and Maths.
While the Midleton College campus is an historic one it is obvious from recent developments that the College Boards are planning for the current and future needs of our students. The Colton Building was developed as a consequence of the need to cater for the consistent demand for places at the College and consist of seven class rooms, a Home Economics Room and a Computer Room.
As well as catering for the academic needs of students Midleton College offers an extensive extra curriculum programme allowing students to indulge in Sport, Drama, Debating, Science Club, Rotary Club, Book Club, Cookery Club, Choir, Orchestra and much more - definitely something for everyone.
Families are asked to make their way to the Library in the historic main building on arrival before heading off on a tour of the campus. The Open Day will commence at 11.00am and will conclude with the Principal's Address at 1.00pm.
