Midleton College success at the BT Young Scientist Competition

The BT Young Scientist competition took place this week in the RDS.  Midleton College were represented by 2 projects:


The Viability of Insect Farms in Ireland; The Food Source of the Future’ by Kevin Carew in the Biological and Ecological, Senior, Individual category.


To Test The Economics Of Using Trace Element Bolus On Finishing Beef Cattle At Grass’ by Amy Chambers, Maeve Kingston & Julie Ryall in the Biological and Ecological, Intermediate, Group category.


Both projects picked up awards at Friday night's closing ceremony.  Amy, Julie & Maeve received a Highly Commended for their entry.  Kevin won a marvellous Third place in his category.  Well done to all the students involved, and thank you to Mr Scanlon, Mr. Power & all the Science department.
