Well done to Transition Year Student Reidin O'Sullivan who took part in the semi finals of "the cook of" for the competition Apprentice Chef.
This is a competition focused on developing the culinary skills of young people and utilizing good mood and local food.
Reidin took part in the cook off on Friday in I.T. Tralee Hotel and Catering department. She prepared, cooked and served a dish of Local Lamb Rump from Ballymacoda served with Turnip Puree, Banana Shallots, Parsnip Crisps with a sweet red wine and rosemary jus served with seasonal veg of sweet potato, carrots and green beans. She also prepared a comprehensive written project to present with the dish.
Reidin has qualified for the final stage of the competition in Tralee!
