The Carol Service

On Wednesday the 9th of December the annual Christmas Carol Service took place in St. John the Baptist church in Midleton. It was a joyous occasion and everyone enjoyed a great performance from the choir and orchestra led by Mr Nicholls, due to a surprise call for Mr Sexton as his wife gave birth. It was a pleasant occasion for all and after the service the people congregated in the St. John the Baptist hall for refreshments organised by the P.T.A. It was a successful evening enjoyed by everyone.
The Carol Service raised 725 euro for The Cheshire Home and the reception made a further 500 euro for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
