To India and back!!

On the 12th of February 6 students and 2 teachers departed Cork airport bright and early at 5 am to go on their trip to Kolkata for 8 days. Whilst they were there they got to see all the various homes and hospitals that the Hope Foundation have set up throughout the past ten years. The group as well as students from other schools toured around Kolkata to see the poverty and poor living conditions as well as visiting and playing with the children. It really opended their eyes to the inequality of the two sides of the city as to the huge amount of wealth and how the rest don’t have enough to survive. They had a great experience and felt it was a life changing experience.
