At the end of this school year Mr. John Levis is to retire. This ends a very long and happy association with the school as pupil, teacher, rugby secretary and finally as Deputy Principal. It is the broad range of John's interests and abilities, which so amazes us still. They are only matched by the width of his smile and his good humour.
He first came to the college as a boarder in 1959 and joined as a member of staff in 1969. He always worked hard for the pupils in his care as a teacher, Boarding master (Later Head of Boarding) and in sports as a coach, referee and organiser. The word tireless is all we can say.
As so many will have happy and funny memories of John's time at Midleton College why not send them to me for later publication. neil@midletoncollege.ie
