Orienteering in Oz!
During the Summer Nicolas Simonin was selected to orienteer for Ireland at the Junior World Orienteering Championships in New South Wales, Australia. He scored highest of the Irish Team. There were 4 different races spread out over 6 days; sprint, long, middle distance and a relay. His best result was 4th in his middle distance heat of 3 heats.
Nic is going on to pursue this sport at the highest level.  After his leaving in 2008 he plans to go to one of the scandanavian academies that provide a full time course for the elite athletes in this grueling discipline.  Good luck!
