A much delayed match that had seen absent referees and unplayable pitches hold up the date with destiny was finally completed very much to our satisfaction. 

The mighty Limerick side travelled here to lock horns with the best and brightest Midleton College rugby could offer.

The weather was perfect for rugby even if the underfoot conditions were damp to say the least. At first St. Nessans put up stern resistance and though we were up at half time the match was not won. 

Early scores in the second half killed off the game so by the end Midleton College had built up a comfortable score.  A brace of tries from Clive Ross and Darragh Crosbie were the real turning point.
