Muffin Week

Tuesday 06 February 2007

Further to the excellent fund raising work always done by Transition year as part of their extra curricular activities we have been raising money for Temple Street Children's Hospital.

All this week Muffins at €2 of the various Cusine de France flavours have been on sale in the canteen at break time in the morning.

All the muffins were sold by the end of the Thursday session raising a total of €680 for the Hospital.

Next week Daragh Mathews, Annie Moloney, Keiran James and Clare Stead are off to Calcutta to visit the famous Hope Project.  They earned this privilege by raising 20000 Euro for the children's home they run in one of the poorest parts of the city.

The students of transition year raised the money by selling some rather tasty chocolate and the rest by a lot of bag packing at the local supermarket.

Most of the 4th years helped raised the money with the 4 lucky pupils selected by interview.
