Computer Room

The computer room contains 21 iMac computers, two printers (including a colour laser), a scanner and digital cameras (still and motion cameras). The room is totally networked allowing all the machines to have Internet access. The equipment is fully up to the National Centre for Technology in Education (NCTE) specifications.

All computers are equipped with software such as Microsoft Office, IWork and ILife. These create a great platform for bringing our students up to GCSE standards for the exam taken at the end of 4th year. We also use the IT facilities to ensure that each pupil takes to expand their creative side.

Our broad IT curriculum include using MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photo Manipulation (iPhoto and GIMP),  Webdesign (iWEB),  music samples (creating jingles etc using Garageband). This year's transition year students will also learn some animation techniques using 2D and 3D animation software.

The use of the computers is fully supervised at all times. It is open for a number of afternoons during the week so that the students can make use of the Internet and e-mail options. This allows everyone to keep in contact with family and friends
