Governance Structures

A thorough review of the Governace Structures of Midleton College, which commenced in 2005, has now been completed. In consequence a tripartite governace structure, fully reflective of the 1998 Education Act as it applies to voluntary secondary boarding and day schools, has been established.
Three interacting components of governance now exist. The Board of Governors, (see below) are the Patron Body of Midleton College, to which all other boards.sub-committes and individuals are responsible.

A Limited Company, Midleton College Ltd., has been established with responsibility for all financial matters relating to the College. The Directors of Midleton College Ltd., are:

A Board of Management of Midleton College was incorpoarted by the Board of Govenors in June 2009. The membership comprises nominees of the Patron Body, elected staff members, elected parent members and the Principal. The members of each Board of Management serve for a three year period.
